I found it pretty hard at first. I was always trying to be too cool, like you do in school. I found it really hard talking to people, answering questions - you don’t want to sound like an idiot, so a lot of the time you don’t say anything at all.
Then you realize everyone is in the same boat. None of us knew what we were doing. You can’t take yourself too seriously, and you all start to relax into being who you are. —

#god i find this so interesting#how he was just a normal boy like the ones you see around you#afraid of what people would think of him #afraid of embarrassing himself#not realizing his talent and doubting everything#thinking for the longest time he just got through each steps on txf as a sick joke#afraid everyone would make fun of him #and now he’s just doing what he wants#he’s just having fun #chillin! #taking it as it is#not afraid of dressing up as a girl for a music video#or flirting with the boys on stage#in interviews he answers questions when he wants to#keeps quiet or makes dumb jokes or gives those good well articulated answers of his#not caring at all#of what people think of him of his tattoos of his personal life of his relationship with his bandmates#not giving a single fuck #just being himself#and what’s funny (and beautiful) is that this is what makes him cool in the end (x)
